Foshan Library statement: Some criminals pretend to be our library and send messages to primary and secondary schools to cheat.

On February 25th, Foshan Library in Guangdong issued a statement saying that some criminals pretended to be the library to release information to primary and secondary schools to cheat, and asked the general public to be vigilant.
The "Solemn Statement" of Foshan Library was posted on its WeChat WeChat official account, and its content showed: "Recently, our library received feedback from public readers that some criminals posted false activity information to primary and secondary schools in the city in the name of Foshan Library, in an attempt to steal students’ personal information and engage in fraud and extortion."
In the statement, Foshan Library stated that it is a public welfare institution in Foshan, and all the activities hosted by it are public welfare and free of charge. The registration information of all activities is published through the following channels: WeChat public platform with the certified name of "Foshan Library" (subscription number), official Weibo of Foshan Library, official website of Foshan Library (https://www.fslib.com.cn), official website of "Foshan Cultural Cloud" (http://wh.fs.cn) and its WeChat public platform (service number).
Foshan Library reminds the general public to be vigilant and not to be deceived. "If in doubt, please consult and verify with our library in time". (Monday to Sunday 9:00-17:00, Tel: 0757-28360000).
In the above statement, Foshan Library also stated that relevant illegal acts seriously violated its legitimate rights and interests, and "our library reserves the right to investigate its responsibilities according to law".
